Freaks Me Out, Maher, Michael Moore, 10 year old momma, USS Carl Vinson

  • I watched the basketball game tonight between North Carolina and Michigan State.  they built a temp stadium on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson and played ball for all of the military personnel.  It was one of the coolest sports events I have ever seen.
  • The USS Carl Vinson is famous for being the carrier that dumped Bin Laden's body after we whacked his ass.
  • Convicted DC super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff is fixing to blow the roof of the US Congress next week...  He is going to prove that as many as 12 US Congressmen made 10s of millions from insider trading on Wall Street.
  • I watched a series about Vietnam on the History Channel last night.  Unreal.
  • The Duggar family announced they are expecting their 20th kid.  This freaks me out.
  • I watch Bill Maher on HBO.  It scares me how opposite alot of this country thinks compared to folks in my part of the world.
  • I told ya'll this Penn State deal was going to be a wreck.
  • Obama did a nice job speaking tonight at the carl Vinson Bball game.
  • See, I paid the guy a compliment.
  • Occupy Protests?  Chronic Rape & Crime, Murder in Oakland, Suicide in Vermont, Overdose Death in Salt Lake, Tuberculocis in Atlanta and New York.  And a shitload of idiots that do NOT want to work for a living.
  • Michael Moore pimpinhg to the Occupy protests is a joke.  This guy will do anything to make himself look like he cares.  He needs to tour with Al Sharpton.
  • A 10 year old girl just had a baby boy in Mexico.  Her childhood has been quite a bit different than mine was so far.
  • the Obama Administration has held over 1600 events in Virginia the last 6 months.  they had several elections on Tuesday and Virginia Republican nominees had their widest margins of vistory in history.
  • On the Ipod....  "Let IT Rain".....  by David Nail.
  • Building my son Binion a new roping arena hear at the house.  Very proud of how hard he worked this sumer learning to rope.  He is getting pretty good.
  • Joe Biden gets paid 2200 per month for the cottage the Secret Service stays in, at his home, while protecting him.
  • Washington National catcher Wilson ramos, was kidnapped two days ago in his home in Venazuala.  He has been returned safe and sound.
  • Jonathon Papelbon, the phenom closing pitcher for the Boston Red Sox is rumored to be heading to the Phillies.  Guy is a bad ass.
  • So is NY Yankees closer Mariano Rivera.  They play Metallica's "Enter Sandman" as he jogs to the mound in Yankee Stadium to try to close a game.
  • Noal Ryan said today the Rangers are not interested in Prince Fielder or Albert Pujols.  Why would we be?  We got Mitch Moreland.
  • I really do not see what the big deal is about Rick Perry forgetting his point in the debate wed night.  I really don't.  I do that crap all of the time.  Can you imagine the pressure on those guys?

SHAME.... PRIDE..... CONFUSION..... SICKNESS

  • The Penn State Scandal will go down as the largest in the history of sports, because of the sheer grossness of the acts themselves.
  • I can honestly say that the use of power, and position, to be able to take advantage of kids who are needing help, is an unmeasureable sin.
  • I understand that God does not rank sin.  But this deal?  I do not care how many wins Penn State has, how much good they have done, or how loyal their following is.  If Joe Paterno and Penn State U covered up or looked away while knowing this was going on then God has a plan for them.  I do not think it has a good ending.
  • Joe Paterno said today that he wanted to end this season with "dignity and committment".  Dignity and Committment went out the window when they covered up the crime.
  • How embarrassed would a boy be to get raped by an old man?  When the victim is 10 years old, I call them a victim.  Ain't no two ways about it.  The question is how many of them are there?  Jerry Sandusky did the unthinkable, was caught, and, it appears covered up for.  I do not have to judge, but I am trying to decide if the ultimate sin was the act, or the cover-up.
  • Joe Paterno will pass Alonzo Stagg's record for number of collegiate games coached when they take the field against Nebraska.  Joe Paterno cares about records or he would not have coached unit his 130's.  How could he walk out of that tunnell.
  • Think of all the players, current and past, that will suffer from this.  How in the hell did a man witness this act in progress, go tell his dad, then they go meet with Paterno, and never follow up for 14 years?  What were he and his dad thinking when it did not immediately go public?  Why didn't they go to the media?
  • We hear of this type stuff with some degree of regularity.  Why do more father's of victims not hold court in the street?
  • You would want to think that when Paterno notified the Athletic Director, they called him a few days later, and said it was a lie....  Problem is the kid that witnessed it, (who would have had to have lied for it not to be true), went on to work for Paterno.
  • A chorpractor/Little League coach in Dallas was accused of the exact same deal this morning in Dallas.  Using his practice to take advantage of young boys while doctoring on them.
  • My wife is a stay-at-home mom and we revolve our lives around our kids.  They come before business, or anything else.  I have always been proud of my kids, and their actions have never let me down.  Yet.  I think a BIG reason we have not had any trouble is because my wife is on top of that deal.  Like a hawk.  She gets all the credit for the way they are turning out.
  • I could not be prouder of my middle daughter, Abby.  We got knocked out of the Texas High School Volleyball Playoffs Monday night.  We got beat 4 times this year by the same team.  They are ranked number 1 in the state.  They are better than we are.  Today.  Abby has another year left and I think next year could be another story.  We have an awfully talented, young team.
  • The rest of Abby's volleyball story, and the source of the biggest part of my pride in her is very cool.  This kid destroys a kneecap and all of the supporting ligaments playing spring basketball between her 8th grade and 9th grade year.  I am talking destoys it.  She rehabbed it for 5 months and had a good freshman year playing Vball.  Basketball cranks up, and she blows it up again.  This time worse.  The pros in Dallas reccomended against surgery because she was still growing. So she rehabs it agian.  This rehab was epic.  I want to give a shout out to Dr Robert Fowler, the Dallas Cowboys ortho surgeon.  He ran the show, and Abby did her part.  She has had two great years of Vball.  Basketball is not an option.  She wanted it.  Dad played the veto card.
  • Abby plays on a select Vball team that cranks up next month.  They play all spring.  Girls now days have to concentrate on one sport pretty much to be effective at the varsity level in Texas.  A few can play both.  But not with her left knee.
  • This kid is as hard headed as I have ever seen.  I am glad I do not have to try to return her jump serve.  I am also very proud of her cousin Sandy, who plays with Abby in school ball and select.  Another great girl, very respectful and grounded.  And this kid can play some ball.
  • Herman Cain is confusing the crap out of me.  Is it racism, is it the media, is it the Democrats, is it the Republicans, is it Obama?  He has blamed everybody but the Penn State Athletic Department.
  • My daddy always said, "Where there is smoke, there is fire"....  Hello Newt Gingrich.  I have always known that you are the smartest.  Now prove it to everybody else.
  • The NBA situation makes me sick and laugh at the same time.  I do not blame the owners one bit.  They need to hold their ground and not cave in.  At the end of the day, the players are employees.  If they think they are being taken advantage of, then take your talent somewhere else.
  • What was that?  You can't find anybody else to pay you to play a sport?  A game?  A kid's game?  Well, your value just went down.  Maybe a career change?
  • I wonder how many NBA player's mommas live off of their sons?  I wonder how many of those players are broke?  I mean out of cash.  I bet some mommas are getting them Escalades repo-ed and are screaming bloody murder.
  • When you listen to the player's lawyer, you soon realize how how unions have broke this country.
  • Rahm Emanuel, Obama's bagman, and the new mayor of Chicago, is asking the teachers of Chicago to work and extra hour and a half per day trying to catch kids up, scholastically.  And offering to raise the pay, the proper percentage.
  • The Chicago Teacher's Union is throwing a fit, because they want a bigger cut of the salary raise.
  • Like I said, Union s wreck alot of shit.
  • The open G20 Summit microphone that stung Obama and Sarkozky this weekend will be a bad deal for both of them.
  • Free advise, do not cuss Israel.  It will cost you dearly.  Read Dueteronomy in the Bible you moron.

Cards Snubbed, Bank's Windfall, Iranian Nukes, OKC Earthquake, Jesse Ventura

  • There was a pretty strong earthquake in Oklahoma Saturday night.  People felt it all over North Texas, but we did not notice it out here at our place.
  • I always wondered if all of our gas wells and fraccing caused the quakes.
  • Controversy has rocked the Penn State Athletic Dept all weekend as a former defensive coordinator for Joe Paterno has been accused of molesting young boys there.
  • Former Minn Guv Jesse Ventura sued the US Federal Govt over airline patdowns etc.  His lawsuit was thrown out on Friday and he went nuts.  He said he would never stand up again for the National Anthem.
  • I was at a rodeo in West Texas years and years ago and saw a guy not stand and remove his hat for the National Anthem.  His act of defiance did not work out too well.  I saw about 15 people remove him from the stands and beat the piss out of him.  I bet he stodd up and had some respect the next time.
  • For years, several groups have wanted FDR's WW2 prayer added to the WW2 Memorial in DC.  Obama is trying to shoot down a bill that would add a plaque to the memorial, commemerating the prayer.
  • Obama did not call the St Louis Cardinals after they won the World Series last weekend.  First time since telephones have been in existence that a Prez did not call the team after the game.
  • Iran will have nuclear weapon capability in a few weeks.  Confirmed a-b-i-l-i-t-y........
  • On the Ipod....  "Whiskey Trip"....  By the late Gary Stewart.  Used to get to party with Gary Stewart backstage at Billy Bob's.  One of the greatest singers ever.
  • Why would anybody care what Liz Chaney's opinion is about politics?
  • 8000 folks held a protest in front of the White House, over the trans-national pipeline that is supposed to stretch from Calgary, Alberta to South Texas.
  • Obama did not see the protest.  He was busy.  Playing golf.
  • I absolutely love the new Israeli Government's New Airport Security techniques.  They have designed a new chamber that everybody steps into that will detonate ANY kind of explosive.  Each passenger is loaded up with their luggage and it is fool-proof.  Absolute genius.
  • Banks on wall Street have made more money in 2.5 years with Obama that they made in 8 years with George W. Bush.
  • A publishing company owned by The Catholic Church has sold and distributed hundreds of thousands of porn magazines.
  • Abby, my middle daughter won her State High School Volleyball Playoff game friday night.  This Monday nght we play our cross-county, arch nemesis, Brock Lady Eagles.  They have barely beat us 3 out of 3 times this year.  I gotta funny feeling about tomorrow night.  One of the hardest things in sports is to beat a team 3 times in one year.  4 times is nearly impossible.  They are ranked number 1 in Texas Class 2A.  I know it is a cliche, but win or lose, our girls have had a good year.  My daughter has played her butt off.  Tomorrow night........  Tomorrow night could line up to be one of those nights we never forget.
